Using a Self Storage Unit When Moving Home

The property market has seen a bounce back in recent weeks; firstly after lockdown eased allowing estate agents to resume viewings and secondly with the major change in stamp duty fees announced on 8^th July where properties up to £500,000 are exempt.

There is a simple solution and that is to store excess belongings or things that you don’t use every day in the storage unit.

2. Buyers

If you’re buying and want to pack belongings early to get organised you can do this and not have to live with boxes all around the house until moving day. Conveyancing, the legal process of buying or selling a property, can take weeks and often months. Usually, a minimum of 12 weeks, or more if there is a chain. You can still get organised in the meantime. Pack up infrequently used items and keep them safely in storage. You can pack up rooms one by one as you can access your self storage unit whenever you wish and as often as you like. This will benefit you massively on moving day when you have less to move. You can also slowly bring your belongings that are in storage into your new home. Overall it makes the already stressful moving home process somewhat easier.
